The Ministry
Our Minister is Rev Andi Phillips. Andi commenced Ministry here at Upper Chapel on 1st October 2017 after training at Harris Manchester College Oxford and leaving a previous career in academia. As the Minister at Upper Chapel Andi is fully committed to the Chapel and the Congregation, delivering what is hoped are spiritually uplifting, thought provoking and imaginative services to a congregation of around fifty committed Unitarians. There are ten Upper Chapel Trustees who are responsible for the maintenance of the property and the employment of the Minister and other staff. The twelve members of the Congregational Committee, which includes several Trustees, are responsible for the day to day operation of congregational life, including assisting the Minister in planning of worship services.
Members of the congregation support the organisation and stewarding of events and the Chapel benefits from their skills – for example, in catering, weekly flower arrangements and specialist knowledge.
